Kollodis BioSciences is the first and leading company to commercialize recombinant mussel adhesive protein （MAP） and associated MAP-based smart biomaterials using its proprietary platform technology, MAPTrix™.

As a result of Kollodis' successful development of scaled-up processes for MAP manufacture, MAP-based smart biomaterials are currently poised for widespread use and growth in biotech, medical and industrial applications.

Kollodis BioSciences currently provides mussel adhesive protein （MAP） products as stand-alone adhesives （bioadhesives）, ready-to-use adhesive kits, and specialized adhesives and products for cell culture, tissue engineering, and related applications- the MAPTrix^TM ECM （Extracellular Matrix） line of products.

The Mussel Adhesive Protein based matrix MAPTrix™ ECM line of products are coating reagents with genetically incorporated bioactive peptides （recognition peptides） which mimic the extracellular matrix （ECM） activity of collagen （MAPTrix^TM C）, fibronectin （MAPTrix^TM F）, laminin （MAPTrix^TM L）, vitronectin （MAPTrix^TM V）, cadherin （MAPTrix^TM E）, and heparin （MAPTrix^TM H） proteins. The bioactive peptides mimic ECM proteins and provide for cell attachment, spreading and growth. The mussel adhesive protein confers biocompatible adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces. MAPTrix^TM products are provided as ready-to-use aqueous coating formulations in convenient sizes （vials）. Also available is our MAPTrix^TM core product - recombinant mussel adhesive protein with no peptide incorporation.

Kollodis BioSciences also provides the MAPTrix HyGel™ line of products which are chemically well-defined hydrogel products for 3D cell culture and related applications; and, the MAPTrix™ GF line of products - small peptide mimics of natural growth factors incorporated into a mussel adhesive protein that show comparable biological activity to the naturally occurring growth factors.

Our MAPTrix^TM products are ready-to-use aqeuous coating formulations that are biocompatible and free of animal-components, E. coli- proteins, and toxic chemicals. Our products are quality manufactured and performance tested in accordance with ISO/USP guidelines.
